Another weekend in the books!
Lots of friend time, lots of good food, and some relaxation and exercise thrown in there.
On Friday, Kelli and I met Jess and some other friends downtown for Fridays after Five. But about 10 minutes after getting a glass of wine it started pouring. So we chugged the wine and beelined it into Monsoon to grab a table and wait for Whitney to meet us.
And then we order mojitos.
I think I’ve been to Monsoon three out of the past four weekends and I’m not one bit mad about that. I could eat Thai food for the next 3432 meals and still want it again.
I got the usual red vegetable curry, Kelli got some crunchy noodle dish that was delicious and Whit went with the chicken pad thai- also fab.
We walked into Whiskey Jar to grab another drink but we just were not feeling it so we called it a night and decided our PJs and a movie sounded much better. We’re 89, whatevs.
Saturday was rainy, rainy, rainy which was actually a good thing because it forced me to get things done. I had to get my car cleaned and ready to sell so a few people could come look at it [and I’m certain this is the cleanest it’s ever been] and then Jess came over and we lounged around for a bit.
My little brother napped through our lunch plans…
But the kid has been working double shifts [he serves at Zinburger] so after he responded to my 23 texts and missed calls I stopped worrying something happened and we rescheduled for this week. So instead of lunching at Chipotle, I ate a lunch at home and then went on a 5 mile walk/run where I ran 3 and walked 2 miles alternating between walking and running. This sort of walk/run thing has been my new jam.
Saturday night I met up with Clare at Aromas for a long over due dinner. She’s finally done with school [!!!] and we had lots of catching up to do. And she was way too kind and brought me this adorable mug she handmade full of dark chocolates. So crafty!
We ordered a hummus/babaganoush/dolmas platter to start and then I ordered a salad what I thought was going to have a lot more “heft” than it actually did. The menu said grilled eggplant, roasted red peppers, feta, olives, cucumbers etc so I was feeling a little disappointed when this little salad showed up.
But dinners out are always about the company anyways and that was great! I got home still hungry so I ate a banana and PB and two chocolate banana muffins and called it a night.
It was beautiful here yesterday! I went on an hour long walk before church down my new favorite road and then Whit and I went shopping for bathing suits and summer clothes for the beach next week. SO excited for sand and sun.
And then I mustered up dinner from the freezer [more of these veggie quinoa burgers with hummus and salsa] and kicked my feet up.
It’s suppose to be 90 degrees here tomorrow!! Hoping to soak up some sunshine and start a book I need to read for school.
How was YOUR weekend??

Hello there! Do you know if they make any plugins to
assist with SEO? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good success.
If you know of any please share. Thank you!
