I had planned to write a post on how my eating has changed from more plant based to including more animal products over the past couple years…but then I got called into work early yesterday so that swiped my writing window. And now it’s 11:51pm and I’m on the Q train home and my brain feels foggy as I type so I’m pushing that post to Friday. I like to have a clear head to write and I hate pushing out content just to push it out so I appreciate your patience. Come back Friday for that read 🙂
In the meantime, I’m moving today into our first HOME together. I get to move in and settle the place (and I’m super pumped about having a whole 900 sq ft apt – which is “huge” in nyc – to myself for the next month) and then Nick will join me after the wedding. All week Nick and I have been like, “it’s happening, our first place together!” So today is an exciting day. We’re moving to Battery Park City which is a neighborhood at the southwest tip of Manhattan, near the Freedom Tower and along the Hudson River. Follow along on insta stories if you want to know the chaos that is moving in New York City.
In the meantime, here are some reads from around the interwebs that inspired + refreshed me and just plain made me smile. I hope they do the same for you too!
Another good read about being a competent eater from Kylie, she’s full of super informative posts that are changing the way women relate to food and their body. It’s awesome.
This video of a little boy bringing smiles to people in the midst of his grief made me cry and smile all at the same time. How can a 6 year old make such an impact? So beautiful.
Emily P. Freeman is one of my favorite authors and her post on 8 Things Whole Hearted Creative Women Do Differently got me fired up. So much freedom in her words.
Rachael, another one of my favorite RD pals, wrote this post on how eating foods that make you feel “blah” is part of intuitive eating. Go read 🙂
This video of a little girl crying tears of joy when her mom tells her she’s going to see Beauty and the Beast. I want to have that much happiness + joy over the little things. She is adorable.

I always look forward to your reading recommendations. Thank you for sharing such beautiful messages with us. It’s so funny to me that you will be writing about why you’ve incorporated more animal products into your diet because I’ve wanted to ask you about it for months. As someone who has been following you for years, it’s easy to spot it. It’s also so easy for many of us who are disordered in how we eat to ruminate about food and what’s appropriate and my question may somewhat stir from that but I’m actually more curious as to how this evolved for you. Is it part of your intuitive eating journey? Did you overcome some fear foods that maybe you didn’t realize you had? Does your body just feel better? I can’t wait for it. Congrats on your new home!!! Wow-this is one of the most exciting times in life. Building a home and a family. God Bless You.

Thanks for the shout out love!! Does your new place have room for me to crash on your couch cause I’m coming to NYC again this summer!! Woot woot! Will text you soon 🙂 P.S. Would love to hear about your eating more animal foods too, because that’s something that’s kinda evolved with me too that I’ve noticed recently.

900 square feet?! That is huge! Saw your IG story – the place looks beyond amazing. I live in L.A. and renting is just crazy. I know NYC is even crazier. Congrats on the move!
