I haven’t been on social media or picked up my phone more than a handful of times in the past 3 days. I’ve taken zero pictures of food. I didn’t plan for that, it kind of just happened. It felt right. I didn’t want to think about taking a picture for the blog, or keeping up with social media. Instead I just focused on being with my family, spending time with old friends, eating really good food and resting a lot. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas 🙂
We drove to Illinois yesterday to be with Nick’s family this week and then we drive home to Boston on Saturday. Yes, driving. 14 hours. It should be quite the road trip. We have movers coming the morning of December 31st. Happy New Year! We’ll be drinking champagne and eating takeout on our hard wood floor surrounded by boxes.
But before that, we’re soaking up this last bit of family time in the Midwest. Regular posting will be back on Thursday and then I’ll have an end of the year post coming on Friday.
As the holidays wind down and 2018 approaches, I hope these images remind you that it’s our culture that’s the problem. Not you. And it’s okay to not pursue changing your body or eliminate foods in 2018.

All the feels! It’s most definitely culture! It’s so sad it’s become this way. For once in my life I’m finally not making a goal for 2018 that has to do with dieting or changing my body, and it feels good! 🙂

Today I played a love tester game, and me and my crush got 93%. How wonderful. Should I confess my love to him or not? Or should we turn on the green light and continue to wait?
