After sacrificing my weekend to studying last week, it felt extra good to spend some time this weekend outside with good friends, good food, and a glass [or a few] of wine.
On Friday, we drank sangria and ate lots o’ guac before heading down to the water in Brooklyn where we watched the Macy’s firework show, ate slices of Brooklyn pizza, and stayed out way past my bedtime.
Saturday was the perfect summer night. We soaked it up at Celebrate Brooklyn which is a free concert series in Prospect Park all summer. Nickel Creek will be there on July 24th and I can’t wait to go back!
On an entirely different note, school is getting more and more intense and we are entering into a pretty intense month so I’ve decided to take a step back from the blog. I had to pick between blogging or Nutshell because I just can’t do it all, although I wish I could and that was hard to admit. So while I am NOT disappearing, posts could be here and there and touch and go until the summer session ends on August 8th. I’ll still be doing the Q & A (which will be up tomorrow, promise!) and some other posts here and there, but can’t commit to a regular posting schedule. Thank you for understanding! I love y’all more than you know.
And with that, happy Sunday!!
