Late last night, we made it back to NYC!
It was bittersweet. The past two weeks have been so restful. So joyful. So full of love. Being with both my family and Nick’s family makes me realize how much I love family and how hard it is to be so far, even though I know that I am suppose to be in New York City.
I’ve spent the past couple weeks doing a lot of thinking and reflecting and answering hard questions about what I want this year to look like and digging deep into where it feels God wants me to step back, and also where I feel He wants me to step into. Lara Casey’s PowerSheets have been so instrumental and life changing in all of that.
Today is New Year’s Eve. Tomorrow will begin 2016. Never, ever ever ever did I imagine 2015 would end with Nick by my side and us spending two weeks back at home together. Never, ever ever ever did I imagine I’d be living in the coziest apartment with friends I didn’t even know this time last year, but who now feel like sisters. So many things have happened this year that I never saw coming. All I want to do is take a long, deep breath in and just say, thank you God.
I have a longer, more thoughtful post coming about the New Year, but until then I thought I’d highlight some of 2015. I cannot THANK YOU GUYS enough for all your love and support throughout this crazy year. When things get frenzied and all consuming, your emails and comments and messages keep me writing. Thank you for making this community what it is. For sharing your heart. For taking the words on this blog and sharing them. For letting my broken, messy life somehow bring you life. I am totally humbled. My hope for this upcoming year is that we continue to walk wild + free in exactly who we are. Unashamed in being absolutely imperfect in every way, yet confident is the very purpose we are here for.
Here’s to 2016!
