LGA was a freaking madhouse last night. Originally our flight was delayed from 8pm to 12:20am but thankfully our plane boarded early and we took off by 10:20pm.
And now we’re in Indy for the weekend and it feels so good. Home. I love it.
We’re back wrapping up a few wedding things, I’m having my final dress fitting and hair + makeup trail {that feels really girly to type…} and my family is throwing a wedding shower on Sunday while Nick is going on a run and drinking whiskey with my brothers.
I can’t wait to hang with my family, eat momma coale’s cooking and see my high school friends. AND it will be in the 70s on Sunday!
As for today’s post, I have a video for you guys since I’ve gotten so many emails on how to balance full time school, working, life, relationships and self care. And a lot of emails on what it’s like going back to school to become an NP – why did I choose NP over PA or MD?
There’s two videos since I got interrupted in the middle – watch the first for work/life balance {pssttt: I’m not awesome at it} and the second for more on becoming an NP.
Have a relaxing and tasty weekend.

I really enjoyed these videos, Robyn. I’m really curious about how the financial piece of your accelerated nursing program worked — it can be so hard to find that information on schools’ websites (which makes me think they’re all suuuper expensive). Did you qualify for financial aid/take out loans/some combination of the two?

Loved these videos. Keep them coming. I went back to school (I’m in my early 30s) because nutrition was my calling. It was definitely a messy few years as we welcomed our son during my last semester – but I got it done! When you do your next video on studying, I’d love if you could touch on some advice on how to be successful during a dietetic internship. I being mine this summer and I have to admit I’m intimidated to go from full-time school/full-time mom to being out of the house every day “working” and how to handle the stress of that transition. Thanks so much!
